Wren and Lisa’s Wedding Case
The challenge by the bride and groom was to create something beautiful out of the colorful glass shards that resulted from their Jewish wedding ceremony. You can see the lit up turquoise and cobalt blue glass shards framed by the oval I cut out of an antique wooden violin case. I edged the oval in copper, painted the case in dancing figures with metal leaf line work. A 1/2 watt LED bulb illuminates the glass from the inside. The small oval shape with a copper note on it is the wood I cut out of the case.
