Flower Friend: Aster

In the Flower Friend series, Aster looks out at the world in surprise.  She is made up of multiple layers of very thin pieces of colored glass that I fuse together in a kiln.  The top layer is clear glass, trapping underneath it 2 air bubbles that form the eyes.  Dark blue petals of glass frame a green and turquoise face.  Bits of dichroic glass and gold luster add sparkle.  1 5/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall (including copper bail) x 1/4" thick.  Choice of chain: surgical steel or copper ball chain.
