Every page in the book is a glimpse into a little world, stimulating and dreamy. The artwork is a survey of creatures and flora both real and fantastical. When the reading is over the nightlight is turned on, bringing alive with warm soft light one of the scenes from the book. The glowing image that was already familiar to the child from the book now becomes more personal by way of a nightlight that draws one in to become a point of calming focus, a comforting touchstone while drifting off to sleep.
