In the Flower Friend series, Hydrangea is bejeweled for the flower ball. She is made up of multiple layers of very thin pieces of colored glass that I fuse together in a kiln. The top layer is clear glass, trapping underneath it 2 air bubbles that form the eyes. Periwinkle blue petals surround a white face. Bits of dichroic glass and gold luster add sparkle. 1 3/4" wide x 2" tall (including copper bail) x 1/4" thick. Choice of chain: surgical steel or copper ball chain.
